Flames Mediterranean Restaurant: Experience Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine in Shreveport

This is an absolute gem of a place! As much as we goto Outback, we didn't know this place was back there. The restaurant & outdoor patio was very clean & presentable. Our waitress, bartender, and other waiter staff were excellent. Our waitress talked us through the menu. Showed us favorites. Happy Hour is all day. The music & overall atmosphere vibe was nice. The food was tender & delicious! The complimentary pita & hummus was good. My salmon/shrimp kabob with cranberry rice had tons of flavor & tenderness. My wife had ordered chicken & steak, hers was just as good as my plate. Everything had a great taste packed with flavor. Salmon was probably the best of the meats that I'd recommend. She also enjoyed her watermelon martini & margaritas. Out of all the steakhouses we have tried lately, this place has alot of what we expected from those places food, service, & vibe for a fraction of the cost. Would definitely return & recommend to anybody who is looking for something different. P.s. I seen some reviews about portions. This is a Mediterranean style restaurant in which Mediterranean diets usually consist half a plate of vegs & 1/4 meat vs. Western diets consist of 1/2 plate of meat & 1/4 veg.

This is a very nice restaurant with great food and service. The owner was very helpful. The new male server was gorgeous- nothing to do with the food. I would definitely recommend the restaurant. I had the chicken berg with cranberry rice. The only thing I wish they had was filtered water. The water was pretty terrible but everything else was fantastic!

I was unfamiliar with this establishment until recently. Upon entering, I received a warm welcome and a courteous smile from Dawson, who provided exceptional service. He consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and exemplary politeness throughout my visit. Dawson efficiently took my order, prepared a superior beverage, and promptly served my meal. I was thoroughly satisfied with the service and intend to return. Dawson has earned my loyalty as my preferred server and bartender. I highly recommend visiting and requesting his service.

My first visit here for lunch on a Wednesday. Lovely decor and atmosphere and background music. The owner was the only person working as he was having trouble keeping reliable staffing. Despite this, service was excellent. He was so friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed meeting him. I got the salmon kabob. The salmon and vegetables were excellent, but the dill rice was very dry and undercooked. I think only one person arrived to work the kitchen and maybe she got in a hurry with the rice. He gave us each a serving of baklava at the end of our meals. I will be back!

Down the street behind the outback steakhouse flames is located. Got the lamb chops for the first time with some cranberry rice. It was phenomenal! It was also a holiday called Nowruz that day where we jumped over fire, I think it was the Persian New Year. Made me feel like a Greek Olympian. The energy was beautiful there. Highly recommend.
